Today was THE day! This was a session that was months in the making and supported not only my art but 4 other Cleveland area moms and small business owners! Those local artists are www.facebook.com/sweetsugarstitches,
Together we created the perfect "Potterhead" photo session. Thank you to Nora who snapped this picture without my knowing and sending it to me this evening, it made my day! You're viewing the cake smash segment. I had cleared most of the props out of the set to make room for a messy cake covered little girl. This speaks true to the "behind the scenes," you get a glimpse into my attic full of props waiting to be used for one of a kind photo sessions just like this one! I cannot wait to get to work editing the images that I captured today! Keep your eyes peeled for the final products, coming soon!
First birthdays are the BEST way to capture the "perfect" messy photograph of your little sugar monster! This little man had an absolute ball taking bite after bite of his "under the sea" smash cake! He even paused for a brief couple minutes for me to move in for close-ups of his frosting covered face. I couldn't help but giggle multiple times during his session as we watched him savor his first taste of sweets! This was a cake smash session done RIGHT!!! Happy Birthday little buddy!!!

I stepped out of my comfort zone this past weekend and had the pleasure of taking engagement photos of my brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law & my other brothers best friend and his fiance! I loved being on-location for such happy couples. One of my sessions was at Lyme Village in Bellevue and the other at a well known but hidden gem, the blue bridge on the Huron River in Monroeville. My creative mind exploded with all the posing possibilities. It was quite different photographing adults, who do as you ask and stay in place! Kids are challenging and I can see why some photographers prefer to photograph adults. I am excited to get back to working with some kiddos next weekend but for now I am wallowing in the awesomeness of these two heartwarming couples!
