Babies, babies, babies! The first of my recent baby boom of brand new clients has arrived. Isn't he just so perfect and tiny?? I strive to make each session unique and special for each individual family. This session was no different. Mom and dad had brought plenty of special items for this session which we used for posed photographs. I found that these intimate simple portraits stood out though as some of my favorites from this studio newborn session. It's photographs like this that I cherish so much, remembering how beautiful new life is and just how tiny we all are when we enter this world. Black and white images of the most fragile of humans are just so pleasing to the eye and heartwarming. Feast your eyes on this angelic boy!
WOW!!! That one word describes this session. During the fall, sessions can be a real nail biter, hitting the prime window for the perfect colors, warm enough for children to be without a coat, no rain. This was a rescheduled session due to rain and it was a blessing in disguise because the day we chose to take these photographs ended up being down right perfect! It was so wonderful to see this little man chunk up to be a "rolly polly" baby since his newborn session. Big sister was the perfect little model and we had so much fun together to get these wonderfully perfect fall photos. I have to say that I am a little jealous that these are not my own family photos but at least I found the location I am taking our annual family photograph this year! Happy Fall to you all!
I don't pride myself on being a family portrait photographer but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it! This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this GROWING family. I continue to challenge myself on a weekly basis. This was a location I had never been to before and was unfamiliar with the scenery. Upon arrival, we found many locations that were ideal for this family and their session. I have to be honest, I am very much used to shooting in the studio were the light quality and white balance doesn't change. I did have a couple hiccups with the low-light at this particular time of day (but you wouldn't know it from these photos). In the end we had a wonderful selection of kid-friendly locations in the park. Following the family portion of this session was a mommy-alone segment where I was able to capture the most stunning late evening photographs. In every way this session kept me on my toes and let my creative mind shine. Below are some of the photographs from the family portion.
